A dark Queer horror

I always love narrating Alison Rumfitt’s books. She boldly goes there. Unafraid of getting dark and dirty, I’m a big fan of how she uses the nightmares of fiction to reflect the nightmares of the real world. To be Trans is to too often have your very existence interrogated, and I love how Rumfitt writes of the Trans experience by interrogating the horrors that cause us harm.

BRAINWYRMS has a more satirical tone than TELL ME I’M WORTHLESS, but is similarly about how hate and bigotry are so corrosive. I loved getting to narrate both the sweet moments and the squick moments; and I love finding the humanity and humor in characters that some might consider repulsive. (And, as always, I just love to sound British!)
